Myers Memorial Library will fill a gap in their budget after receiving a large donation from Tanglewood Manor.
Mel Feather, Myers Memorial Library Board of Trustees president, accepted a check of $11,000 from Nick Ferreri, owner of Tanglewood Manor on Thursday.
"This is going to fill a big gap in our budget this year, so we really, really appreciate the support we're getting from Tanglewood," Feather said as he accepted the check. According to Feather, the library used to have an anonymous trust in the amount of $11,000. Seeing as how the trust fund has been depleted, Ferreri's donation was a "Godsend," Feather said."We are part (of the community), so we have to share the responsibility to make everything around us accessible," Ferreri said. "Of course, this library is loved by all your residents in the community."
Ferreri has also donated money to other local organizations in the past few years, including: Jamestown Area Senior Center, WCA, TRZ, Frewsburg Fire Company, Jamestown High School Wrestling Booster, Easter Seals of New York, Jamestown High School Girls Basketball and Little Angels of Honduras.
